Credé Natural Oils is a proudly South African manufacturer of a range of market-leading health food products, including the Credé Natural Oils range of cold-pressed and organic oils and the OhMega range of nuts and nut butters.
The company was founded by Jutta and Helfried Credé, a German couple who moved to South Africa in the early 1980’s with their seven children. They settled in Grahamstown and converted a defunct pineapple farm outside of Bathurst into South Africa’s first commercial jojoba plantation. ‘Hamilton Farm’ was from then on, a place of experimentation for Helfried, a trained physicist and serial entrepreneur. It took a patient five years for the Jojoba plants to produce a crop, and ‘Dessert Sun Jojoba Oil’ was the initial offering under the Credé Oils brand.
