Founded in 2010, Tip-Top Milk’s incredible journey began with dairy farmer, Beyers de Bruin’s vision of assisting farmers in finding suppliers at profitable prices and in the oversupply of milk that was not reaching buyers.
With roots as a family-run organization with a passion for farming and the dairy industry in South Africa, we started with just one truck and over time as our associations with other farmers and cooperatives grew, so did the number of trucks in our fleet. We are now proudly a massive role-player in a multi-million rand industry with three depots around the country with over 80 trucks and 200 employees that move around 36 million liters of milk around the country every month.
With our slogan, “you can’t make bad milk good, but you can make good milk better”, we only buy milk that is free from hormones and antibiotics. Our dedicated state-of-the art testing facility powered by our IT solutions department, the Moolab, ensures that the milk we collect weighs up to our standards and assists farmers in the health checks of their herds to ensure that the freshest milk is supplied.
As the backbone of our business, we only partner with the best in the fleet manufacturing industry. We spare no cost in ensuring our fleet is fitted with important extras, such as aerodynamic fuel saving truck accessories, cameras, communications systems, GPS and tracking devices, and our technical team ensures all trucks are thoroughly checked and washed before leaving out depots. We have important policies in place that ensures our drivers are operating at their best; including no driving between 11pm and 3am, ensuring drivers are well-rested and fed, annual health checks, as well as carefully planned routes for their safety. We take a very strong stance on bad driving and our fleet management team monitors all drivers for driving styles while on the road. It is essential that our raw milk logistics service prioritizes the safety of our produce and drivers, while ensuring timeous delivery.
